Find
From hiring signal
to mandate
For agency recruiters and business developers who win work by noticing who is hiring. Jenny searches public LinkedIn postings live and keeps the useful ones as opportunities, so you can link the candidates who fit, record who you introduced and move the conversations that become real business into a sales pipeline.
The problem
A vacancy online is a lead, not a client
New postings appear every day, but re-running the same searches by hand is the first task to slip when a shortlist is due. By the time you look again, the posting is a week old and another agency may already have called.
When you do act, the trail lives in browser tabs, a spreadsheet and your memory of who you called about which role. It becomes hard to see which companies you approached, which candidates you mentioned to whom, and which conversations turned into a mandate.
What changes
- Results come live from LinkedIn’s public job search, with no API key or LinkedIn login needed on your side.
- Every opportunity keeps its source link and the date it was checked, so you always know where a lead came from.
- Candidates can be linked to an opportunity before any mandate exists, with a saved snapshot of why they seemed relevant.
- Each introduction has a status, from identified to client interested, declined or withdrawn, which keeps follow-up clear.
- A job is created only when you confirm that the client has authorised the search.

How it works
01
Search live postings
Enter a role, a location and how recent the postings should be. Results come from LinkedIn’s public job search, and closed postings are marked as closed.
02
Save a hiring signal
Keep a posting as an opportunity with its source and check date, or import a vacancy you found elsewhere from its link or pasted text.
03
Link candidates
Search your database and attach the people who fit. Relevance suggestions and a saved snapshot show the overlap and what to verify.
04
Track introductions
Record each introduction and the client’s response. Changing a status records it; it does not send anything.
05
Move into sales
Put the opportunity in your sales pipeline at Prospect. Values Jenny cannot find stay “Not stated” and are left out of the forecast.
06
Confirm the mandate
Mark the sale as won only once the client has authorised the search. Jenny then creates a draft job, or links an existing one, with the linked candidates.
Worked example: A Financial Controller posting in Antwerp
Illustrative — fictional data01 · Spot the signal
A saved search flags a new Financial Controller posting at a logistics company in Antwerp, posted two days ago.
02 · Save opportunity
You read the full text and save it as an opportunity, with its source link and today’s check date. It is a signal, not a mandate.
03 · Link candidates
Relevance suggestions point to Candidates A and B. You link both; the snapshot records IFRS and consolidation as relevant and SAP as to verify.
04 · Find the owner
Hiring-contact discovery, in early access, finds the Head of Finance named on the posting page, with the quote behind it.
05 · Record the call
After a phone call, you set Candidate A’s introduction to client interested and move the opportunity into the sales pipeline at Prospect.
06 · Confirm the mandate
The client authorises the search. You mark the sale as won, and Jenny creates a draft job with A as Submitted and B as Sourced.
You provide
- A role, a location and a posting-date window: any time, the last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days
- A vacancy link or pasted text, for postings found elsewhere
- The candidates you want to link, and introduction statuses as conversations happen
- Owner, next action and, if you want, your own fee estimate for each sale
Jenny produces
- Current LinkedIn postings with title, company, location, posting date and when Jenny checked them
- Opportunities with source link, check date, linked candidates and an introduction history
- Sales opportunities in a pipeline from Prospect to Won or Lost
- A draft job with its candidates, created only when you confirm a client-authorised mandate
Sources and their status
| LinkedIn public job search | Available | Searched live without a key or login. Each search returns a limited first page; a saved search lets you check it again in one click. |
|---|---|---|
| Vacancy import (link or text) | Available | Paste a vacancy or its public link. Jenny extracts the details for your review before anything is saved. |
| Apollo company and people data | Needs setup | Connector in the product. Needs an Apollo account, key and credit price; until then a labelled sample is shown that cannot be imported or contacted. |
What it depends on
- Nothing to connect for LinkedIn public job search; searches count towards daily workspace limits
- Candidates in your Jenny database to link, imported or added first
- An Apollo account, API key and credit price for real company and people data
- An e-mail provider with a verified sending domain for real delivery of introductions
Approval and privacy controls
- A saved posting is never presented as a mandate. Only a sale you mark as won, confirming the client authorised it, creates a job.
- Before you confirm a won mandate, Jenny lists exactly what will be created or linked. Nothing is sent to the client or to candidates.
- Sample records are labelled on every card, cannot be added to your CRM and show no hiring signal.
- If LinkedIn rate-limits or does not answer, you are told and given the same search on LinkedIn. No sample postings are substituted.
Current limitations
- LinkedIn’s public job listings are the only live vacancy source; other job boards are not connected.
- An automatic list of up to five internal candidates who may fit a saved posting is in development. Today you link candidates yourself, helped by relevance suggestions.
- Apollo company and people data are a labelled sample until an Apollo account is connected, and the connector has not yet been verified live.
- Introduction e-mails are drafts until an e-mail provider with a verified domain is connected; until then sends are recorded as simulated.
- The Belgian Data Protection Authority treats unsolicited e-mails that promote your services as advertising that generally needs prior consent, also at work addresses, so check the e-mail marketing rules where the recipient is before you write.
Questions about vacancy discovery & prospecting
Does a saved posting mean the company is a client?
No. A published vacancy is a hiring signal, not a confirmed mandate. Jenny keeps it as an opportunity until you convert it into a sale, and records a mandate only when you mark that sale as won with the client’s authorisation.
Do I need a LinkedIn account or an API key?
No. Vacancy discovery uses LinkedIn’s public job search, which needs neither. A LinkedIn Recruiter seat only matters for candidate sourcing, which is a separate feature.
Can Jenny watch for new postings for me?
Partly. Turn any search into a saved search and check it again in one click; it flags postings that are new since the last check, with duplicates removed. Scheduled daily or weekly runs are switched off for now. Details are under recurring searches and automation.
Why does some company data say “sample”?
Company and people data come from Apollo, which needs an Apollo account, key and credit price before real data can be used. Until then Jenny shows a labelled sample: real company names with illustrative attributes and fictional people, with no hiring signal. Sample records cannot be imported or contacted.
What happens to linked candidates when a mandate is won?
Jenny creates a draft job, or links the existing one, and adds the linked candidates to its pipeline: people you introduced as Submitted, people only identified as Sourced. Declined or withdrawn introductions are skipped, and nobody is added twice.
