Find

Find candidates
in your database first

For agencies and independent recruiters sitting on years of CVs and candidate records. Jenny searches your own database first, including reviewed CVs and people found in earlier searches, then adds LinkedIn Recruiter results or a Recruiter export, so everyone for the job lands in one list.

Status in productionAvailableAvailable. Searching your own database and importing LinkedIn Recruiter exports work in production; live LinkedIn Recruiter search is in early access through a seat connected in Unipile.

The problem

Your next placement may already be on file

Agencies pay for LinkedIn seats while hundreds of CVs sit in shared folders and old ATS exports that nobody can search properly. So each new role starts from zero on LinkedIn, because searching your own records takes longer.

When you do search both, you end up with two lists, the same person twice, and no record of who you found where or when.

What changes

  • Your own records and reviewed CVs are searched before LinkedIn, not as an afterthought.
  • Boolean or plain-words search finds people in your database by title, skills, languages, location and summary.
  • People who turn up in several places are recognised and merged, so nobody is added twice.
  • Each result shows where it came from: an internal record, your CV library, an earlier search, LinkedIn Recruiter or an imported export.

Recruiter export imported to this job

    CSV import
One job, one list: every person tagged with where Jenny found them.

How it works

  1. 01

    Search your database

Use Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT and phrases) or describe the profile in plain words. Both search the structured fields of your candidate records.

  2. 02

    Source for a job

From a job, Jenny checks your records, CV library and earlier discoveries, quoting notes and interview feedback as dated evidence.

  3. 03

    Add LinkedIn Recruiter

Where a seat is connected, Jenny reads a bounded number of Recruiter result pages. An interactive search stops after about a minute.

  4. 04

    Or import an export

Upload a LinkedIn Recruiter CSV export to the job. Jenny maps the columns, previews the rows and flags people you already have.

  5. 05

    Review one list

Results are merged, tagged by origin and given an evidence-based fit score against the job’s criteria.

  6. 06

    Add to the pipeline

Move the people you want into the job pipeline. Nobody is added or contacted without your action.

Worked example: Sourcing a Group Controller job in Antwerp

Illustrative — fictional data
  1. 01 · Confirm criteria

The job’s must-haves are reviewed: IFRS, group consolidation, Dutch and English. Salary is not stated, so it stays to verify.

  2. 02 · Search the database

Your records and CV library return Candidate A, from a reviewed CV, and Candidate B, whose 2024 interview note is quoted as evidence.

  3. 03 · Add Recruiter results

Early access: a bounded LinkedIn Recruiter search through the connected seat adds Candidates C and D. C was found in a search two weeks ago and is merged, not duplicated.

  4. 04 · Import an export

A colleague’s LinkedIn Recruiter export for the job is imported, and one row is flagged as already in your database.

  5. 05 · Shortlist

You compare evidence-based fit scores and gaps, then add A, B and C to the pipeline as Sourced. Nobody has been contacted.

You provide

  • A job in Jenny with reviewed criteria
  • Your candidate records, and the CVs you are authorised to use in the CV library
  • Boolean terms or a plain-words description of the profile
  • A LinkedIn Recruiter CSV export for the job (optional)

Jenny produces

  • Database matches for your search, with a count of any hidden by your filters
  • One merged candidate list per job, each person with an origin tag and an evidence-based fit score
  • Duplicates recognised across your database, earlier searches, LinkedIn Recruiter and imports
  • The candidates you chose, added to the job pipeline

Sources and their status

Your candidate recordsAvailableBoolean and AI profile search over structured fields. When sourcing for a job, notes, evaluations and interview feedback also count as evidence.
CV library and earlier discoveriesAvailableUp to 200 reviewed CVs, plus people found by your own searches in the last 30 days.
LinkedIn Recruiter (via Unipile)Early accessLive search through Unipile on a LinkedIn Recruiter seat connected by Forti8, within an allowance, with a bounded number of result pages per search. Not a LinkedIn partner integration.
LinkedIn Recruiter CSV exportAvailableImport an export into a specific job when you run the search inside LinkedIn Recruiter yourself.

What it depends on

  • A job in Jenny with reviewed criteria, because sourcing runs per job
  • For live LinkedIn Recruiter search, a seat connected in Unipile — today Forti8’s own, within an allowance
  • Your existing records imported by CSV first (up to 3,000 candidates per workspace)
  • CV files you are authorised to use, added to the CV library (up to 200 documents)
  • The AI service for plain-words profile search; Boolean search works without it

Approval and privacy controls

  • A CV enters the CV library only when you confirm you are authorised to use it for recruitment.
  • Only the professional facts you review and accept from a CV become searchable. The original file is kept with its upload date.
  • LinkedIn Recruiter searches read a capped number of pages, and each workspace has daily limits on LinkedIn searches.
  • Jenny does not send LinkedIn messages to candidates.
  • Earlier finds are reused from your own retained searches without fetching profiles again, and nobody becomes a CRM record automatically.

Current limitations

  • An agency’s own LinkedIn Recruiter seat cannot yet be connected per workspace. Live Recruiter search runs through Forti8’s own seat within an allowance, which is why this source is in early access.
  • The Boolean and plain-words search boxes cover structured fields such as title, skills, languages, location and summary, not recruiter notes or CV text.
  • Each LinkedIn Recruiter search reads a bounded number of result pages. Retrieved is not the same as qualified: check each profile against the must-haves.
  • The CV library holds up to 200 documents.
  • Jenny does not source candidates from Apollo or from job boards.

Questions about candidate sourcing

Whose LinkedIn Recruiter seat is used?

Today, Forti8’s own LinkedIn Recruiter seat, connected through Unipile, an integration service for LinkedIn, and used within an allowance. Connecting an agency’s own seat to its workspace is not supported yet. If you search in your own Recruiter account, import the export into the job instead.

Does the search box read my notes and CVs?

No. The Boolean and plain-words boxes search structured fields: title, skills, languages, location and summary. When you source for a specific job, Jenny does read recruiter notes, evaluations, interview feedback and reviewed CVs, and quotes them as dated evidence.

Can Jenny search job boards or Apollo for candidates?

No. Candidate sources are your own database, LinkedIn Recruiter and Recruiter CSV exports. Job postings are used to find vacancies, not people, and Apollo is not a candidate source.

What counts as an earlier find?

People returned by your own searches in Jenny over the last 30 days. Jenny reuses what it already retained rather than fetching those profiles again, tags them as earlier discoveries and leaves them out of your CRM unless you add them.

How do I make my older CVs searchable?

Upload them to the CV library, confirm you are authorised to use each one, and review the professional facts Jenny extracts. Only reviewed facts are searched. Records from another ATS come in through CSV import.
